Corn Jowar Khichu is a healthy recipe prepared with The Fresh Start Wellness Cafe's White Sorghum Flour, corn kernels, cumin seeds, carom seeds, sesame seeds, turmeric, green chilli-ginger paste, lemon juice, coriander leaves, and other simple ingredients. Rich in dietary fibre and essential nutrients, it makes a wholesome and satisfying snack while combining the goodness of sorghum with sweet corn and aromatic spices.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Corn kernels
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3/4 cup Jowar atta (sorghum flour)
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida (hing)
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Green chili-ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

Step 1

Use The Fresh Start Wellness Cafe's White Sorghum Flour for this recipe.
Blend corn kernels with water to make a smooth batter.

Transfer to a bowl, add jowar atta, and mix well.Heat oil in a pan, add cumin, ajwain, sesame, hing, turmeric, and green chili-ginger paste.

Add the corn-jowar mixture and salt& pepper,mix and cook until thick and it leaves the pan edges.

Step 4

Add lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix well.Drizzle some peanut or pickle oil,serve hot.
