Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup kodo millet, soaked in water overnight,
  • Salt to taste,
  • 2 tbsp oil,
  • 1/4 tsp zeera,
  • 4 green chilli slitted, halved,
  • 1/2 tsp crushed garlic,
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger,
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion,
  • Veggies.....a). 1/2 cup boiled matar,
  • b). 1/2 cup small diced carrot ,
  • c). 1/2 cup small diced green bell pepper ,
  • d). 1 small tomato roughly chopped,
  • 1/2 tsp haldi powder,
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder,
  • Some chopped dhania patta

Instructions

Step 1

Firstly wash the soaked millet, strain it. Add in a pressure cooker. Now add lil salt. In goes 1 cup water, place the lid, give 5 whistles on high flame. Turn off the flame, allow it to depressurise naturally. Open the lid after a minute. Take out in a bowl, keep aside.

Step 2

Take a wok or pan, add oil, heat it. Add zeera & green chilli, saute it for 30 sec. In goes ginger garlic, saute it until light brown.

Take a wok or pan, add oil, heat it. Add zeera & green chilli, saute it for 30 sec. In goes ginger garlic, saute it until light brown.

Step 4

Now add veggies, mix it well. Add in salt, stir fry it for 2 minutes.

Step 5

In goes haldi powder & garam masala powder, mix it well.

Step 6

Now add boiled millet, stir fry it for a minute. Add in dhania patta, stir fry it for a minute.

Step 7

Turn off the flame, take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with a dhania leaf.
