About This Recipe

Millet cutlet

Millet cutlet is a crispy, flavorful, and nutritious snack made by combining cooked millets with mashed vegetables, herbs, and mild spices, then shaped into patties and shallow-fried or baked until golden. With its crunchy exterior and soft, hearty interior, millet cutlet is a wholesome alternative to potato- or refined flour–based cutlets.

Millets are rich in dietary fiber, plant-based protein, and essential minerals such as iron, magnesium, and calcium, which support digestion, improve energy levels, and strengthen bones. Their low glycemic index helps regulate blood sugar levels, making millet cutlets suitable for diabetics when consumed in moderation. Millets also promote heart health, aid in weight management by keeping you full for longer, support gut health, and are naturally gluten-free, making millet cutlet a balanced, healthy, and satisfying snack or meal option for all age groups.
