Ingredients

  • cup sorghum ponk
  • 1 cup wheat ponk
  • 1 cup yellow mung beans

Vegetables required in Khichdi

  • 1 piece chopped potato

  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green garlic
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 2 tablespoons peanuts
  • 2 chopped green chilies

  • 1 spoon oil
  • 1 spoon ghee
  • 2 dried red chilies
  • 6-7 black pepper
  • 1 piece cinnamon
  • 1 star flower
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • spices
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients for garnish

  • 4-5 cashews
  • 7 _8 raisins
  • 1 spoon ghee
  • 1 teaspoon coriander

Instructions

Step 1

Measure and prepare the green sorghum, green wheat and lentils.
And prepare all the vegetables. And also prepare the ingredients for the filling.
Now mix oil and ghee in a cooker and when it gets hot, fry the peanuts in it and then add the onions and saute them. When they become soft, add ginger, chilli and garlic.

Then add all the vegetables and sauté them, then add tomatoes, now when they are also cooked, add moong dal, then add green sorghum and green wheat, then add all the spices. Once the spices are mixed, add water to it.

Now there are three cups in total, two cups of pok and one cup of dal, that is, add six cups of water to it.
And let it cook for four to five whistles at a slow speed.
