Healthy Ragi Thalipith (Mom's Special) is a nutritious recipe prepared with ragi flour, jowar flour, wheat flour, gram flour, onions, garlic, coriander leaves, sesame seeds, spices, and other wholesome ingredients. Rich in dietary fibre, protein, calcium, iron, and essential nutrients, it provides a nourishing and satisfying meal option while delivering the authentic flavours and wholesome goodness of traditional multigrain thalipith in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Ragi flour
  • 1/2 cup Jowar flour
  • 1/2 cup Wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons Gram flour
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon Crushed garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped coriander
  • 1/2 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Cumin powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Carom seeds
  • 1/4 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • as needed Water

Instructions

Step 1

Combine all flours in a bowl. Add chopped onion, crushed garlic, chopped coriander, and all spices.

Mix in sesame seeds and salt. Gradually add water to form a smooth dough.

Heat a nonstick tawa and add a little oil.

Take a small portion of dough, shape it into a round disc (thalipith).

Place on the tawa, cover, and cook on low heat for a few minutes.Flip and cook the other side until golden and cooked through.

Serve hot with curd and pickle.
