Jowar Flakes Upma is a healthy and flavorful breakfast prepared using fiber-rich jowar flakes, vegetables, and traditional seasonings. Ingredients

  1. 1 bowl jawar flakes
  2. 2 tbsp oil
  3. 2 tbsp peanuts
  4. 6-7 cashew nuts
  5. 6-7 curry leaves
  6. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  7. 1 tsp chana dal
  8. 1 tsp urad dal
  9. 1 pinch hing
  10. 1 tsp grated ginger
  11. 1 onion chopped
  12. 2 tbsp frozen peas
  13. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  14. 2 tbsp grated carrots
  15. as required Salt to taste

Instructions

Step 1

First wash the jawar flakes in a strainer and keep aside.

Step 2

Heat oil in a kadai add peanuts and cashew nuts fry them and keep aside. Now same kadai add mustard seeds,urad dal, chana dal, hing and ginger and saute few seconds, then add onion and fry some times.

Now add salt, turmeric powder, grated carrots and peas, saute 3-4 minutes then add soaked jawar flakes and mix properly.

Step 4

Lastly add fried peanuts and cashew nuts mix it well and cook on low flame by covering 2-3 minutes then turn off the flame. Jawar flakes Upma is ready to serve.
