Jowar Flour Crispy Puri is a healthy recipe prepared with jowar flour, whole wheat flour, spices, oil, and other wholesome ingredients. Rich in dietary fibre, protein, iron, and essential nutrients, it provides a crispy and satisfying snack or meal accompaniment while delivering the wholesome goodness of jowar in every bite.
Ingredients
1 cup jowar flour
1/4 cup Wheat flour
1/4 cup gram flour / besan
1 tbsp suji
1/2 tsp carom seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp oil for dough moin
as per taste Salt
1/2 tsp white sesame seeds
2 tbsp finely chopped green coriander leaves
as per required for kneading dough Warm water
as per required for deep frying Oil
Instructions
Step 1
First up in a wide mixing bowl, combine the Jowar flour, wheat flour, besan flour, suji, salt, and all your spices. Mix in 1 tablespoon of oil.
Step 2
Then slowly pour in warm water and knead the mixture into a stiff, tight dough (drier than regular roti dough). Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Divide the dough into small, equal-sized lemon balls. Grease your rolling pin and surface with a little oil instead of dry flour, then roll each ball into a small, even, medium-thickness disc.
Step 4
Now heat oil in a pan on medium to high heat. Gently drop a puri into the hot oil. Press it lightly with a slotted spoon so it puffs up, then flip it and fry until it is crisp and golden brown.
Step 5
Then remove the all puris and drain the excess oil on a paper towel. Let them cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
Step 6
Now our very crispy and healthy Jowar flour crispy puri is ready for serve. Serve as a morning breakfast with tea or coffee.
