Jowar Upma is a healthy millet-based version of the classic South Indian upma, prepared using jowar and traditional ingredients. Ingredients

  1. 1 cup jowar
  2. 1 onion
  3. 1 green chilli
  4. Half cup carrot
  5. 1 tbsp green peas
  6. 1/4 tsp haldi
  7. 1/2 tsp salt
  8. 1 tbsp oil
  9. 1/2 cup water
  10. 1/2 tsp mustard
  11. 1/2 tsp cumin

Instructions

Step 1

Soak jowar for few hours, heat oil in a cooker, add mustard, cumin, haldi, green chilli, salt, onion, green peas, carrot. Mix them well.

Add water and cook for 2 whistles.
