Ingredients

For millet

  • 1 cup Kodo millet
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 2 cloves, 1 cardamom and bay leaf
  • as per requirement Salt to taste

For stir fry vegetables

  • 2 cups vegie-Carrots, baby corn, capsicum, onion french beans
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic
  • as required Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • Green gram curry
  • 1 cup green gram boiled
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tomato+ 1inch ginger+ 1 chill paste
  • 1 tsp each (turmeric powder, chilli powder, hing, coriander powde
  • 1 tsp amchoor powder/dry mango powder
  • 1 tsp jaggery
  • 1 tsp black salt
  • 1 Raw tomato chopped
  • 1 Sliced lemon
  • 1 cup Boiled sprouts

Instructions

Step 1

Use The Fresh Start Wellness Cafe's Kodo Millet Rice (Kodra/Varagu) for this recipe.
For millets. Heat oil. Add all masala and add Kodo millet. Stir and add water. Add salt. Cover and cook until done.

Step 2

For veggies. Heat oil and add ginger garlic. stir fry vegetables. Add salt, soya sauce and mix well. Add 1 cup water. Make slurry of cornflour and add to the pan. Mix and boil. The mix veg is ready.

Step 3

For the curry. Heat oil and add all the dry masala. Followed by tomato paste. Add salt and cook till oil seperates. Add green gram and 1 cup of water. Boil for 5 min on simmer. Curry is ready.

Step 4

Now arrange the bowl. Add one portion of millet. One portion of veggies. One portion of green gram curry. Add some sliced tomatoes. Add boiled sprouts and a lemon slice. Serve.
