Moong Dal and Rice Flakes Appe is a flavorful recipe prepared with soaked moong dal, thick rice flakes, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, and green chillies. Ingredients

  • 1 cup moong dal with skin
  • 1 cup thick rice flakes
  • Handful of coriander leaves
  • 7-8 garlic cloves
  • 1 small piece of ginger
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1/2 tspoon eno
  • Oil as per requirement

Instructions

Step 1

Wash and soak moong dal overnight.

Drain out excess water.Wash poha and keep aside for ten minutes.

In grinding jar add soaked poha,dal, Salt, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, chilli and required water and grind finely.

Step 4

Heat a appe pan.Add little oil in the cavity.Add eno in the batter.Mix well.Add one tablespoon batter in each cavity.

Cover and cook for six to seven minutes.Flip and cook till golden brown from both sides.

Step 6

Serve hot with tomato sauce or any pickle.
