Ingredients

  1. 1 cup Ragi flour
  2. 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  3. 1/4 tsp salt
  4. as required Water
  5. 1 nenthram banana
  6. as per requirement Palm jaggery

Instructions

Place it all the ingredients together.

Take a bowl combine the Ragi flour and salt in a deep bowl and sprinkle approx, 1/3 cup water at regular intervals, mix well and make make into a wet bread crumbs like mixture.

Heat the idly steamer with enough water close the lid and allow it to boil.

Step 4

Take a coconut shell with 3 eyes break 2 eyes with a sharp knife so as to create a big hole.
Take the coconut shell. Put some slice banana and put 1 tbsp of coconut, 1/4 of the Ragi mixture, again put coconut and Ragi flour and spread it evenly.

Step 5

Place the coconut shell on the idli steamer plate and close the lid and allow it to cook for medium flame about 8-20minutes.

Step 6

Remove the shell carefully from the cooker and invert it on a serving plate.
